2019 Taplin Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Taplin Cellars

The 2019 vintage enjoyed ample winter rain and a mild summer and fall – optimal conditions for producing fresh, expressive wines with wonderful texture. Our Estate Bottled Cabernet opens with rich, layered aromas of boysenberry, blueberry and dark caramel infused with baking spice and a hint of cedar. The plush fruit explodes on the palate, offering a brilliant core of sweet black cherries, sun-warmed boysenberry and tart black raspberries. Fulsome texture and silky tannins bring a lithe and sinuous energy, with complex notes of allspice, graphite and fragrant garrigue on the mid-palate. The lengthy finish extends the experience with shades of wild blueberry, dried herbs and crushed rock.
